A FRESH DRINK WITH AN AYURVEDIC TWIST



When the warmer spring days arrive, I like to prepare this Lavender Rose Lemonade recipe I learned from one of my dearest Ayurveda cooking books by Amadea Morningstar. It’s perfect for my kids who seek for a refreshing sweet drink while they move and play around, and for everyone really, as it is a digestive aid and blood strengthener.


INGREDIENTS


2 cups of water

1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers

1 tablespoon dried rose flowers

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons of raw honey

3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice


INSTRUCTIONS


Bring one cup of water to boil and pour it on to a bowl with the lavender, rose and lemon zest. Stir, cover and let sit for one hour. Strain. Then warm the second cup of water and stir it with the honey and lemon juice. Pour both mixtures together and enjoy 🍹
